Target Information and Further Details
TROP2 is a transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by the TACSTD2 gene, involved in calcium signalling, cell proliferation, and survival. It is overexpressed in a variety of epithelial cancers, including triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), NSCLC, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers, and its expression often correlates with tumour aggressiveness and poor prognosis. TROP2 is the target of several ADCs, most notably sacituzumab govitecan, which is approved for TNBC and has shown activity in other solid tumours. Its cell surface accessibility and tumour specificity make it a promising therapeutic target.
