CHO-K1 IndDLK1 is an IndEx-2 stable cell line inducibly expressing full length human DLK1.

IndEx-2 is RoukenCells' proprietary inducible expression system that enables precise, dose-dependent control of one or two target antigens within your chosen cell line. Using orthogonal chemically induced proximity switches, antigen expression can be independently tuned across a biologically relevant range, creating custom cell models for target validation, assay development and therapeutic screening.

Target Information and Further Details
DLK1 is a transmembrane protein belonging to the Notch/Delta family, encoded by the DLK1 gene on chromosome 14q32. It is an atypical Notch ligand that lacks the canonical DSL domain and functions as a regulator of differentiation in multiple tissues, including adipose, hematopoietic, and neuroendocrine systems.
In cancer, DLK1 is frequently re-expressed and overexpressed, particularly in hepatocellular carcinoma, neuroblastoma, and gliomas. It is implicated in maintaining tumour stemness, inhibiting differentiation, and promoting proliferation. Its restricted expression in adult tissues but strong presence in tumours makes DLK1 a potential therapeutic target. Experimental approaches include monoclonal antibodies and CAR-T therapies directed against DLK1, with early studies suggesting potential in targeting tumour-initiating cells.
