CHO-K1 IndCLDN18.2 is an IndEx-2 stable cell line inducibly expressing full length human CLDN18.2. 

IndEx-2 is RoukenCells' proprietary inducible expression system that enables precise, dose-dependent control of one or two target antigens within your chosen cell line. Using orthogonal chemically induced proximity switches, antigen expression can be independently tuned across a biologically relevant range, creating custom cell models for target validation, assay development and therapeutic screening.

Target Information and Further Details
CLDN18.2 is a specific isoform of the claudin-18 gene product, produced by alternative splicing of CLDN18. While claudin-18 is normally expressed in the gastric mucosa and lung alveoli, the 18.2 isoform is selectively expressed in differentiated epithelial cells of the gastric mucosa. In cancer, CLDN18.2 is aberrantly exposed due to disruption of cell polarity and tight junctions, and is retained in a subset of gastric, pancreatic, esophageal, and other gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas. Importantly, it remains highly tumour-specific, making it a promising therapeutic target. The leading clinical agent targeting CLDN18.2 is zolbetuximab, a monoclonal antibody that mediates tumour cell killing via antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). Zolbetuximab has shown promising results in gastric and gastroesophageal cancers and is currently in advanced-phase clinical trials. Other therapeutic approaches under investigation include CAR-T cell therapies and bispecific antibodies targeting CLDN18.2. Its restricted normal tissue expression and prevalent tumour expression profile make CLDN18.2 a particularly attractive target in oncology.
