CHO-K1 IndCEACAM5 (Luc2) is an IndEx-2 stable cell line inducibly expressing full length human CEACAM5. The cell line also constitutively expresses firefly luciferase.

IndEx-2 is RoukenCells' proprietary inducible expression system that enables precise, dose-dependent control of one or two target antigens within your chosen cell line. Using orthogonal chemically induced proximity switches, antigen expression can be independently tuned across a biologically relevant range, creating custom cell models for target validation, assay development and therapeutic screening.

Target Information and Further Details
CEACAM5, also known as CEA, is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein encoded by the CEACAM5 gene on chromosome 19q13. Belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, CEACAM5 mediates cell adhesion and signalling. Physiologically, it is expressed during foetal development but is largely absent from adult tissues, aside from low levels in the colon and gastrointestinal tract.
CEACAM5 is re-expressed and highly upregulated in colorectal, pancreatic, gastric, and non-small cell lung cancers, where it plays a role in tumour progression, metastasis, and immune evasion. Clinically, CEACAM5 has long been used as a tumour biomarker (CEA levels) for cancer diagnosis and monitoring. Therapeutically, CEACAM5 is being targeted by antibody-drug conjugates (e.g., tusamitamab ravtansine), bispecific antibodies, and CEA-directed CAR-T therapies, showing promise in solid tumour treatment.
