Target Information and Further Details
CD22 is predominantly expressed on mature B cells and is internalised upon ligand binding, a feature exploited for targeted drug delivery. In malignancies such as B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (B-ALL) and certain non-Hodgkin lymphomas, CD22 is commonly expressed and serves as a therapeutic target. CD22-directed therapies include monoclonal antibodies (e.g., epratuzumab), antibody–drug conjugates (e.g., inotuzumab ozogamicin), and CAR-T cell therapies engineered to recognize CD22, providing valuable options for patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell cancers.
